Taking inspiration from Gathering Spriggs blog and from one of my favourite films for todays post title. I absolutely adore this little shop, it is in one of our nearest towns. The town itself is just lovely too; it has some great little shops such as the hardware shop which seems to sell everything you can imagine, with shelves stocked up to the ceiling. Anyway, I often nip to this town to post letters or to buy cards and find myself inside this charming little shop. Although I have now learnt that you have to snap up things as soon as you see them because otherwise a big red sold sticker appears very quickly and disappointment inevitably follows.
I have bought several presents from here in the past such as frames and vases and just wanted to share with you this lovely pair I bought from the shop the other week.
I try to buy a couple of new Christmas decorations to add to our collection each year and love these reindeer with their tiny sparkly boots.
Unfortunately the weather was really bad when I visited with my camera the other week and the shop itself was closed - so I apologise for the quality of the photos below but just couldn't not share them with you all.The candle stick was really beautiful and they always have a great selection of frames like the one behind.
Sorry this picture is particularly bad but the gorgeous huge white framed mirror in background on the left as well as this beautiful dressing table with the mirror taken off in front were just to die for. And if you look carefully you can see the daintiest chandelier which I thought was quite a reasonable price at £99. I think I may have to visit again soon with my husband to look for a rather special birthday or Christmas present.
Would love to hear about your favourite home shops wherever you are in the world.

Hi Cassie,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog while reading Bethany's latest post on Rinse. Repeat. and the second I saw your post title about the shop around the corner, I knew I'd want to read more! You've Got Mail is so wonderful, I adore it! (e-mail, and children's books, are two of my favourite things...)
As for my favourite home shops here in Victoria, Canada, I'd have to say The Papery, Muffet & Louisa, Paboom (great stuff and CHEAP!) and The House Dressing Co. I also like to wander the vintage second hand shops in search of lovely things.
Looks like a fun store. I will have to get back to you on the home front because I can't seem to think of any at the moment. I do like one called The Very Thing. They have lots of pretty items. And there's Lily G and I think there are more. x
ReplyDeleteThat is my kind of shop! I too have been adding a few pieces to my holiday collection each year, and I would have a hard time passing up those little reindeer!
