All that glitters and shines!

Living in a country house with, I suppose, a more traditional country interiors look, my Christmas decorations tend to be gold and red. However, more and more this year I have been drawn to all things sparkle, silver, lustre and glittery! No matter how much I love this years collections I know that they will not coordinate with my traditional ones, although I have been able to sneak in my pair of reindeer (seen in previous post) and they blend in rather nicely.

Don't get me wrong, I adore my country Christmas reds and golds but all this silver has stolen my heart this year. So I have given in, in a little way, and have bought some of these tiny beauties to adorn my 'ladies' presents this year as gift tags.

I have also created a 'decorations' folder on my computer to store all these fabulous silver baubles and the like. So that if I decide to change my Christmas theme or suddenly win the lottery and are able to decorate my house with various different styles in individual rooms, I will have them stored, logged and ready to purchase!

For now at least I just want to share all that sparkles, glitters and shines with you lovely people this rather chilly December afternoon!

  1. It's hard to change from the traditional that you're used to, isn't it? Maybe you should add a bit of silver to your tree on the front porch?

I love the little glass baubles from Aspen and Brown. Gorgeous! The would go nicely with the world where I live this morning. Everything is white and sparkly with a thick frost!
