Winter Weekend

Today we can finally say "Goodbye" to January! I don't know about you but I am rather glad, I always feel Spring is within touching distance once we get into February. And that is always a good thing isn't it? I have spent January looking at my poor wintery garden desperate to trim and tidy but knowing that I can't makes it worse and makes me pine for Spring all the more.

The collage above just about sums up our weekend - did you spot the 'triple choc cookies' tucked away in the corner! These were a request from my husband but I am afraid to say the biscuit jar emptied far too quickly! We had a very lazy weekend pottering around the house, catching up with bits and bobs.

As you can see we awoke Saturday morning to a light dusting of snow, which had fallen on frozen ground so the world twinkled around us! We have also been fortunate to have these amazing sunsets over the past few days when the sky is filled with the most wonderful colours and then the moon is full in a very clear night sky.

For us this month is full of birthdays so lots of gifts to buy and cards to post. And that all starts this week with my husbands birthday on Friday, but more about that later...
