Beside the Seaside

Last Friday my husband had the day off work so we ventured to the coast and had lunch in one of our favourite restaurants. Spinach and Mascapone Lasagne for me, yummy! Then we wandered around the wonderful shops and headed off for a walk along the beachfront.

Doesn't it look like a glorious day? However, our long walk plans were scuppered because it was absolutely freezing and we weren't really appropriately dressed for such a cold wind. We didn't make it all the way down to the pier as we had planned but I managed to get some shots of the lovely beach huts looking all bright and colourful.

I loved the pale blue one with the painting of the children looking out. Can you believe though that there is currently one for sale, which is very run-down, for forty thousand pounds! Unbelievable!

We really do love Southwold and both agreed that we must go far more often and I would dearly love to take Erin and her boys too someday! (Fingers crossed)

  1. Hi Cassie,
This place is absolutely beautiful. I'd love to walk on that beach by those little beach houses. I'm not sure how 40,000 lbs compares in dollars, but by the sound of your post, it sounds expensive. Thank you for welcoming me back. I'm glad to be back. Been working on a little blog re-design and can't wait to reveal it.

  2. I love Southwold too - haven't been in ages. Those are cheap daffodils you bought - I just bought some tiny potted ones - am hoping they will last a little while. Have a great weekend too.
