Monday once again, is it me or are we rattling through April at break neck speed? I know I am supposed to take a picture of something I see with a heart for 'Much Love Monday' but I saw this photo and it totally sums up being in my little part of England at the moment.
It is still absolutely freezing! We were forecast three beautiful days of weather over the weekend and we certainly got the sun but we were unfortunate enough to get the wind with it. So it is now glorious blue skies but bitterly cold.
However, my one thing I am loving this week is getting the chance to get in the garden and tackle those flower beds. I started yesterday and I love how neat and tidy everything looks when you give it a good trim and the soil a good turn over. With all the new shoots springing up everywhere I could almost forget the biting wind buffering me about!
Last week was a little manic for me as between work and general day-to-day chores I spent time looking after my niece and nephew, as I mentioned on Friday. My sister-in-law had pneumonia and had been in hospital, so her two children came here to stay with my mother-in-law for just over a week. I had a lovely time with them doing Easter activities, lots of crafting and a trip to a farm park so it was lots of fun, but blogging had to take a backseat for a while.
I hope to be back on fine form this week and have lots to share with you too. I hope you had a super weekend and your Monday is shaping up as well as a Monday can!

Ooh, take some photos of your garden! I want to see it as it comes alive again (doesn't that make you think of The Secret Garden? I love how it starts to slowly come back to life, with little green shoots poking out all over)
ReplyDeleteHope it has warmed up and you are enjoying your Monday. Did that coffee do the trick?
xoxo E
PS: Am writing you a real letter. So much lovely stationery to choose from!
What a pretty photo! Our weather is cooling down but we had a few days of summer heat.
ReplyDeleteYour garden must be the one of the most beautiful and well tended gardens. I too hope you take photos like Erin mentioned above. (I love The Secret Garden as well)
Hope all is well x
Yes, I agree, April seems to be flying by, but so does life in general. It's cold here too. The sunshine was out before spring, but then when the spring came it started to rain and got real cold. Can't figure out this weather lately. I hope your sister gets well soon. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your Much Love Monday post! I hope you have a fab week :)
