The sun continues to shine here in Suffolk and I am certainly not complaining about the effects it is having on the garden. My Shasta Daisy is now flowering, as you can see from the photo above, this doesn't usually happen until well into July so we are getting a little ahead this year.
The gorgeous bride-to-be KT tagged me a while ago now for a little Internet meme, so I decided to kick of the week with my own answers and pass it forward too. I hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead, can you believe we will finish it in July!
KT's Questions to me:
1. What book(s) are you currently reading right now?
I am currently reading a book called 'The River' by Phillipa Forrester. It is a diary of her first few years living in a house next to the river and the journey she embarks on when filming the wildlife living on the river for the BBC, with her partner wildlife cameraman Charlie Hamilton-James. The follow up to the first film they made was on TV just recently called 'My Halycon River' and was absolutely amazing, so I was inspired to read/view her previous work. I also have the book that accompanies the second programme to start once I finish this one.
2. What is your favourite song ever - or just right now?
My absolute favourite song would have to be 'Over the Rainbow' by Eva Cassidy. It holds so many memories for me and for so many reasons, including being the second song played at our wedding. Right now I am still loving my Glee soundtracks - in fact I just can't get enough of listening to them!
3. Whats the best piece of advice (funny or sweet) that anyone has ever given you?
This is a strange one really as it wasn't really good advice but it has really stuck with me. My GCSE English tutor told me, as I reached the end of my years studies, that he didn't think I was capable of doing English at A Level and this came as a real blow as it was my favourite subject at school. I had no intention of staying on at school to study for my A Levels so I was determined to prove him wrong when I enrolled to study the subject at college. I came away with a 'B' grade in A Level English and completed my studies in just one year rather than the normal two! See there really is nothing like being told you can't do something!!
4. What is the one place that you really want to visit that you haven't been to before?
Well any of you who look at my Tumblr archives or have noticed any of the dreamy shots I have used on here will know I would love to visit Santorini in the Greek Islands. I have been very fortunate enough to visit the other islands of Kos, Crete, Thassos, Kalymnos, Patmos and Nisyros but I love the way the houses sit on the sides of the cliffs in Santorini. I also feel you cannot beat Greece for such pretty looking houses and landscapes.
5. What is your most embarrassing moment?
I have been really lucky in my life so far (touch wood) and have not really had any super embarrassing incidents. The children I have taught have been able to add a few rather funny comments over time, quite a few I would rather not repeat! In my last class I had a little boy who was convinced I had fake ears! He always brought it up with the other children who sat at his table and would often just come out and say it, even when there were other adults in the room. Of course I would get very funny looks from adults who hadn't heard his comments before!
6. What is one of your favourite family traditions you have?
I am really sad to say we don't really have any family traditions. One thing I can think of which isn't truly a family tradition but happens each year is at Harvest Festival. Our village church is very small and our congregation is tiny at the best of times but at Harvest Festival each year they love to get the children involved and with so many nephews and nieces living in the village they all inevitably have a role to play. I love to see them walking up to present a gift, be it a loaf of bread or a bowl of corn balanced in their tiny hands. It also usually falls to a male member of the family (there are lots of us all living in the village) to do the bible reading. Being the main farming family in the village we are a major part in the service proceedings.
7. What is something fun and inspiring you have seen online lately and would like to share with us all?
I would have to say it is two new favourite Tumblr blogs - justinetaylor and myidealhome. They have provided some amazing, inspiring and beautiful images to add to my own Tumblr collection of late.
(myidealhome)

(justinetaylor)
OK so according to KT I now have to give my own seven questions to be answered by the seven people I tag so they are:
1. What book(s) are you currently reading right now?
2. What is your all time favourite film and why?
3. Which is your favourite room in your house and what makes it special?
4. Tell us about a childhood holiday you loved.
5. What is the one place that you really want to visit that you haven't been to before?
6. What is your go-to favourite comfort food?
7. What is something fun and inspiring you have seen online lately and would like to share with us all?
I would like to tag Erin, Rhianne, Kat, Gracie, Yiota, Becca and Julia to join in with this little bit of fun but please don't worry if you don't want to tag it forward, would still love to hear your answers. Please, even if I didn't tag you specifically, feel free to join in too or tell me your answer to one of the questions in the comments, I would love to hear them.

Oh yay! As I was reading I was thinking, "Ooh, I hope she tags me!" I'll do this today, I promise!
