Floral Friday

I don't know about anyone else but this week has disappeared faster than ever for me. It really does not feel like today should be Friday but I am not going to complain because 'yeah it's the weekend'! Before I began blogging (was there ever a time!) I hadn't really noticed peonies and just how beautiful they were. However, since I have seen such stunning pictures around online I knew I had to have some of my very own this year. I am still waiting for the ones in my garden but I was over the moon when I saw them for sale this week when I was doing my food shopping.

So this week I have five gorgeous brilliant pink peonies sitting on my kitchen table to brighten the grey days we seem to have been having lately. For this weeks 'Found Flowers' I have chosen a stunning image by the very talented Mary Swenson and her work for Project Wedding. I had a little delivery of some plants this week and one of them was a white Sevenbark hydrangea just like in her image below. I think I also see some white scented stocks, which are another favourite of mine at the moment. I love this image; it so wonderfully provokes images of warm Summer lunches, don't you agree?

Plans for this weekend are once again very weather dependent but hopefully I will be able to spend as much time as possible outside. How about you, what are you going to be up to?
