Perfect start

(via tumblr)

I am writing this sitting on the sofa in our very cosy living room looking out at the beach in the photo from my last post. We arrived down here in Cornwall yesterday afternoon after just over six hours in the car and made ourselves familiar with the surrounding area before we could get into our holiday house.

We had coffee at the beach at Watergate Bay and watched the surfers ride in and out of the waves and drove into the town where we are staying. The house is fantastic and just as we had hoped, which made us instantly feel relaxed. I promise to share photo's when we get home too. The view from the window in the previous post really is incredible and completely makes the house. I walked into the living room, which is on the first floor to take advantage of the views and just said 'wow'! Last night we settled in and went out for an early pizza which was delicious.

This morning, besides being woken to the sounds of seagulls, has been wonderful so far with time spent enjoying the view and watching the light move over the beach. After coffee and breakfast we took a long walk all around the beach which is very deep and sandy. It is full of shells and rock pools, very unlike our pebble beaches on the east coast in Suffolk and I am looking forward to exploring all the coves further.

Right I had better go and get ready for the day now. We are going to go and explore Padstow and have a leisurely Sunday lunch in the town which is known as a 'foodie heaven'. I will stop by again soon with my own photo's to share. I hope you are all having a great weekend and enjoying the last of the Autumn weather, although I seem to be seeing lots of snow everywhere in blogland.
