Much Love Monday

Aren't photos which catch the light in this way so very pretty? How are you all this very last Monday morning in January? Did you have a good weekend, I hope you did. When I thought about my post today I could only think of a lovely long list of reasons for loving this Monday so I decided to go with it this week rather than pick out just one.

Here are my reasons why today is a 'Much Love Monday' -
  • Today is the last day of January, at last. It has been one long slog of a grey month here and I will be glad to bid it farewell after today.
  • I found out on Saturday that my Auntie and Uncle are going to Santorini in May. Although I am of course super jealous and wish I could tag along, I can't wait to see the stunning photography they return home with.
  • Our Saturday night tea has now become a new favourite to add to the menu in our house - mezzaluna pasta with peas, roasted red onion and fresh pesto. It was simple but delicious.
  • I get to spend at least one night over the weekend enjoying the Aussie sunshine recently because one of my favourite TV programmes has its current series in Australia - 'Relocation: Phil Down Under'.
  • An English January was summed up with both inspiration images and beautiful words by Sarah-Jane yesterday in a her latest gorgeous blog post. Oh how I would love to be able to have coffee around her kitchen table with the stunning views to look at out of her windows.
  • I had a lovely quick Skype catch-up with Erin yesterday, I seem to be missing her online at every opportunity at the moment and sometimes desperately wish we didn't have the eight hour time difference to tackle. Oh how I wished I could have been sat at her actual kitchen table drinking my coffee yesterday rather than sitting on her countertop in the computer screen instead.
  • Finally I am getting lost in Hogwarts once again because I have decided I want to listen to all the Harry Potter audio books before the very last film is released and it has been so fun to lose my thoughts in this magical world.

What about you, what is making you smile today? As ever, catch up with others over at Anna's. I have a very busy week ahead and sadly I am not sure how much I will be able to be about on here, so I am going to wish you all a great week now. And get ready tomorrow to say a huge hello to February - it's about time you showed yourself!

  2. Hurrah for February, which is practically here!

Great chat yesterday. It's a good thing the boys didn't see you sitting on the kitchen counter. Next thing you know, I'd find them up there!

Glad you're enjoying Harry Potter all over again. I think I just might do the same. It never, ever gets old for me. I love it!

Happy Monday, and last day of January!

  5. So glad you and Erin got to catch up. And Santorini? Do you think if I provided the suitcase, they'd pack me in it and take me with them? And the photos is just gorgeous -- I like the way the light makes a heart.

  9. Yay for February :) I think it's great that you are listening to the Harry Potter books. I will need to re read the books again before the last movie and watch all the movies too.

It's great that had a Skype date with Erin. That would be fun. x
