First of all, apologies for my sudden disappearance this last week. My rather ancient laptop decided that it just didn't want to behave and it was rapidly grinding to a halt. Several times I attempted to write blog posts or view your blogs but to no avail; it was as if it was reminding me of its age and not to subtly either. Anyway my ever wonderful IT man (i.e. wonderful husband) set to and cleaned it, tidied it, scanned it and generally kicked it back into shape for me - so here I am back again!
Once again my daydreams are still filled with all things white and even though the temperatures have dropped and the sun has finally parted the clouds this past week, my desire for all things wintry and white has not been abated. Everywhere here still remains very wet and they even tried to harvest the last of the sugar beet this week (usually harvested September) but the harvester just sunk into the field and they have had to stop once more.
My daydream picture therefore is one filled with cold, snow and ice, however this is viewed from the comfort of this cosy warm cabin above! I would love to sit by those gorgeous windows and watch the snowflakes fall, gently landing on the already thick covering all around. During the day I would stack up the sledge below with hot drinks in that flask and explore the winter wonderland, probably with my nephews and nieces in tow.

How about you? Do you have this much snow covering your world at the moment? Today I plan on catching up with your blogs and your goings on this past week and keep my fingers crossed this good ol'laptop has life in it yet. Wishing you all a fabulous weekend.

wonderful image! I'm back after some days on ski. I still have alpine daydreams :-)

Wintry and magical!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Em's recent posts on her stay in a little chalet in the French Alps last weekend? Pretty sure you'd love it...
PS: Glad James fixed the laptop and you're back in action! I've missed you.

hehe husband/IT man, love it :) Our laptop has its moments like that too...
ReplyDeleteMy daydreams are the opposite of yours lol, filled with sun and warmth!
That dream sounds so cozy :) I guess my daydreams are the opposite, as I just came in from a walk in the cold and snow with my dog.
ReplyDeleteour snow only lasted a few days but it was perfect.
ReplyDeleteNo snow, just grey and dismal London, but hoping that we will get a little more before the winter is out!
