I had the urge to resurrect Floral Friday today for I am a little giddy with excitement! Just have a peek past the new visitors to the garden and you will see the cause of my enthusiasm.
Under the hedge, growing quite speedily now, are this years Grape Hyacinths and Daffodils. Armed with the camera, and a jug of corn for the ducks, I went to investigate other areas which might be starting to show signs of life. I discovered the miniature Cherry Tree was covered in buds and the Forsythia already had a bright yellow glow about it.
And tucked up on the patio my pots are beginning to disrupt the soil and burst into life with tulips, more daffodils and hyacinths galore. Of course I mustn't forget the buds and tiny leaves just appearing on my hydrangeas too.
I went online to have a look for the 'official' start date for Spring and it isn't until the 21st March! However, I think once March begins this blog will simply have to lose its Winter banner and Spring will take a firm hold of life here. Finally, I know none of the above pictures actually contain flowers and this post is supposed to be 'floral' so I leave you with the little jug of Spring currently sitting on my kitchen table.
We have a very busy weekend planned and I will actually be out doing something in particular on the 12th for once, so I will be armed with my camera! What are your plans for the weekend and when do you think Spring really starts - soon right?

i am feeling a little green with jealousy as we are piled high in snow here!!i can't wait for spring but in the meantime i like seeing what your corner of the world looks like!
