The first of September was marked here today with the very last of the harvest being brought in. The fields around our house were the last to be planted with wheat this year because the sugar beet were taken out so late last season. So the combine harvester had to sit quietly and take a break for a while before today while the field readied itself and turned golden. I had missed hearing the gentle hum in the background over the last week, so today I welcomed the dusty sight of the huge machine making its way across the field.
I love the colour of the stubble left behind on the field against the green of the trees and the gorgeous blue of the sky we were blessed with today.
It felt like the perfect way to start this month and the change of season; drawing in the harvest and soon it will be time to get the field ready for next years crop. Apologies for my lack of posting this week, I hadn't meant to disappear but with a Bank Holiday on Monday the rest of the week seems to have just vanished before my eyes. I have gardening updates and snippits of the Nursery to share with you very soon.
Happy September to you all!
And happy to you too Cassie.

Thanks for letting me know about panduro, I also received the newsletter and it so so so tempting.. I have been spending the last days putting fabric in the trolley and then removing and so on... Despite the 40% discount I always end up filling the trollet with too many fabric and getting a HUGE bill!!! Will I amanage to decide and buy before all the fabric is sold out??? I hope so :)))

ReplyDeleteYes I usually take custom orders! You can write me to my email (federicab77@gmail.com) but, unfortunately, currently I am quite busy, because I am getting married in a month (O_O panic!!!) so I temporary suspended all the custom orders until end of october or so :(
Anyway, if you are interested, just write me.. I can't find your mail!
