This weekend my husband and I may venture towards the coast and take a trip to Snape Maltings. It is a gorgeous converted maltings, with stunning Victorian buildings sitting on the very edge of the River Alde where Santa arrives on a boat each year!
There are a great mix of shops and my favourite antique shop in the area. We recently bought a table for our kitchen (see picture below) from their House and Garden building below) and the antique shop has the most wonderful collection of canteens of cutlery. The entire back wall of the shop upstairs has box upon box of the most exquisite sets. I hope one day to find some tiny forks to go with these beautiful knives left to me by my late grandmother.
We hope to take a stroll along the river and maybe enjoy a meal out there too. I wish everyone a happy and relaxing weekend.
Finally below is a photo of my 'discount' find from yesterdays trip to the garden centre. Unfortunately the soil in our garden will inevitably turn this from a divine blue to the usual pink but for now I can stare at it on my patio everyday for a while.
