Strictly Dresses

So far I have managed to restrain myself from blogging about Strictly Come Dancing but I can restrain myself no longer! I absolutely love this programme, although this year it hasn't quite got me completely yet. Last year we were incredibly lucky to be able to get tickets to see the show live in London from the BBC studios. There are only about 100 members of public allowed into each show and they send out too many tickets which then becomes a first come first in scenerio. We queued for hours in the freezing cold outside the BBC and were person 19 and 20 in. It was just amazing, to not only be part of the studio audience but to see a TV programme made and go out live.

Anyway, back to the point. Ever since a couple of weeks ago when I saw my favourite professional couple Vincent and Flavia perform the 'Tango Waltz' so many of my dreams have included me dancing. Now I cannot dance - our wedding dance was more of a sway I tell you so these really are dreams far removed from reality but in each and every one whereever I may dance I always have beautiful dresses on. Unfortunately, I do not have the figure/shape for dresses - I am too short and need a bigger size on my top than my bottom, I have short arms and no dress really seems to suit me. But all these dreams and my love of Flavia's dresses really has me hooked.

So today I thought I would share with you (or share for me to admire even more) some of Flavia best dresses this series and if you get a chance do have a look at her and Vincent dancing the most wonderful Tango Waltz on You Tube.

To fuel my dreams even more, because don't you just love them when they are so far removed from everyday life, here are a few of my 'if only' dresses I adore at the moment. Enjoy!

  2. I know we were so very lucky! We were there the week that Austin Healey did his Paso Doble - with the leap and the shout. It was just incredible and so special to be a part of the programme. We were even on TV, in the corner for about 2 seconds if you know where to look! Hee hee xx

  3. Ohh that sounds great! The dresses are very pretty. I love seeing costumes for anything. Movies, plays, musicals, dancing (especially ballet).

I love the styling in these photos too. x

  4. I've never heard of Anusha but they have some cute things.

And I don't believe that you don't have the body for a cardigan. There has to be one out there that looks great on you. There just has to be.
