That'll Do Pig!

Do you all have a 'thing' in your homes? Something that just seems to develop into a 'collection', it may not be intentional (mine never was) but you notice they just seem to creep in!

For me its pigs, for my Mum its ducks. I love pigs but not the silly cartoon kind and I am very particular about my pigs eyes! Odd I know but they are hardest thing to get right! I have always liked pigs but when I met my husband, whose father used to be a pig farmer, my collection just seemed to develop.

Here a few photos of them in my home, my favourite is the first large pig statue in my kitchen - he lives by my bin (I like to think waiting for scraps!) and young children who visit often think, on first glance he is real!


My favourite illustration of pigs is in 'All Pigs Are Beautiful' by Dick King Smith - perfect subtle, detailed drawings. There are always a few pigs I would like to add to my 'litter' too!

And maybe one day I will have enough room to have the 'real' thing! Would love to know what your 'thing' is...

    cute cute! pigs are so lovely, I think they are a great animal to collect. I think I collect jars and vases and dishes, seriously I have far too many than will ever be needed : )

    That's really cute! I don't think I collect anything yet or maybe it just hasn't become apparent what I like to collect.
