Answers on a postcard...

With my new found energy today (see prev. post) I have achieved what I usually achieve in one day before it is even 12 o'clock so onto my second post of the day!

On my award post last Tuesday I was lazy enough to ask you to ask me questions for my award - so I thought it was about time I answered them. A huge thank you to those who asked and anyone else please feel free to ask others; otherwise by my reckoning I am 2 questions short for my award!
Melanie: What's your favorite thing about the UK?
Well, after much consideration, this was hard to answer when I thought about it! I think it has to be the countryside. I love the countryside charm - the houses, interiors, gardens and big open spaces.

Gracie: What are some of your favourite places to visit in your area?
I love the county I live in (Suffolk) and where I live in the county because we are fortunate to be right in the middle on the 'sticks' in the countryside but still only half and hour away from the coast. So we love to visit the coast most of all and any vistors we have to stay always end up being taken to the seaside!

Rhianne: Which is your favourite beach to visit near you?
I am sure Rhianne knows our beaches in this part of the world fairly well so will know them by name. I cannot really pick a favourite so I will give you my top three!

Aldeburgh - this pebbly beach is great exercise to walk on! We love to sit at a hotel on the front in the summer and watch the world go by at this beach.

Southwold - this is our only sandy beach in the area (and I think it is imported in too!!) but because of this, it is our favourite beach to take friends to and build sandcastles, forts and dig great big holes in the sand!

Walberswick - this is our 'walking' beach, there isn't much here just miles and miles of views. Oh and I really should say this is my favourite as my husband proposed to me on this very beach many moons ago!

Thanks again for your questions Rhianne, Gracie and Melanie. Hope everyone is having a great Monday.

  1. Oh, these beaches are just beautiful. You are so very fortunate to live so close to beaches like these. I love the ocean as well, but don't get to get there that often. We live about 2 or 3 hours away from the ocean beaches here. I do however live close to a large body of water called the Puget Sound which is a large area surrounding Seattle, Washington (USA). It is ocean water and I grew up swimming in it every summer at camp, although it is very cold.

  3. I just realised I hadn't commented on this! How perfect that your husband proposed on the beach. I'm a bit ashamed to admit I havent been to Walberswick but I love Southwold!
