Today is the first Sunday of Advent and I could resist no longer! My first Christmas decorations came out to play this weekend. I decided to mark the beginning of advent by putting out my nativity scene. This is the 'Willow Tree Nativity' and I had seen it so many times and longed for it desperately before my husband bought it for me last year as part of my Christmas gifts. You can add to this with various backgrounds, the three wise men and other animals but I love my little set and they are so expensive. It would be nice to collect them over the years though, and maybe have a complete set one day.
Next week all the house decorations will have to go up as I simply cannot wait any longer and the week after that we will put up the tree inside. I am hoping to put up some decorations, or lights at least, outside this year but I need your help on one or two bits to do with this next week.
Hope you have all had a fantastic weekend.

I love the Willow Tree collection. We have a few pieces, and a little angel that hangs on our tree. As a gift for some very good friends who got married last year, we got them the Nativity with all the pieces. Now I wish we had it, too!
ReplyDeleteI need to get out our big fabric advent calendar with the pockets. The elves pop by our house at night while everyone is sleeping, and usually leave a few little treats for us to discover each morning.
How can we help with the lights? (we lined our front walk with lit-up candy canes last night... the boys were in heaven!) Next up, the dangly snowflakes...
My tree and decorations are coming out today! I love the Willow Tree collection. We have it at work and I have been wanting to get something from the collection. The Nativity set would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what other decos you put up. x
Don't you just love pulling out CHristmas decorations?! I look forward to seeing what else you've got next week!
ReplyDeleteI love that collection too! My mother-in-law got me some every year for my birthday and now I finally have a complete set.
