Family Affair

Over the past few weeks I have come across so many artists I love and have already got copious draft posts to share all my finds with you. I am sure that many of them may not be new to you but I wanted to begin my little show and tell with an artist who I feel sure you are probably not aware of. This is the artist who painted the Greek Cyclamen print that is part of my giveaway - my auntie!

On her Ebay profile she introduces herself - "I have been interested in drawing and painting all my life, and began to take it more seriously in 2000. The inspiration for my paintings reflects my love of nature & animals."

I have picked just a few of her fabulous pieces to share with you below, some of which are unfortunately sold and some which are currently still available.

All her paintings are all one-off's - "I love working with ink, pencil, and watercolours, therefore these medias are included in my artwork. I decided to concentrate on small pretty watercolours at a very affordable price during this economic downturn. Anyone can enjoy an original unique watercolour for a small outlay. As yet I do not take prints, I may paint something very similar but it could never be exactly the same."

These gorgeous paintings would make an excellent gift for yourself or for someone else and bids start at a mere £0.99! So if you have a spare five minutes today please pop over to her Ebay page and have a look at all the other wonderful watercolours she has painted so beautifully.

PS: She has no idea I have written this post - so I promise she is not paying me!

  1. I love the top two winter landscapes. The little bird on the fence post is so lovely.

And of course, you know how I feel about spring flowers. I adore them! (spring is my favourite season, and the flowers are one of many reasons for it!)

  2. Those lovely snowylandscapes, gosh they are really lovely, clever Auntie! such a sweet robin. I paint a little too in a similar vein, but I am much too shy to show anyone!
