Floral Friday

It's the weekend (well very nearly)! Before I start the official business of Floral Friday I need to catch up with a little housekeeping; firstly a huge thank you for all your lovely responses to my last post. I absolutely loved reading your thoughts on the image I used in the post on Wednesday and where you would like to travel too, I have enjoyed popping online just to read your comments. Secondly please accept my apologies for being a little quiet this week, it has been a busy week with quite a lot of being 'Auntie', including a fun trip to the farm park yesterday, so my Google reader is currently sitting scarily high! I promise to catch up with everyone very soon. And last, but by no means least, thank you so much to the magnificent Erin and the wonderful Gracie for giving me two wonderful awards. I promise to post about them soon.

OK now to the matter in hand - flowers! This morning I awoke to another beautiful and stunning sunrise, which has resulted in another glorious day. It almost feels like Spring has been skipped and Summer is upon us. I have all the windows open and the doors flung wide from the kitchen and living room onto the patio. We have also been fortunate enough to have a very positive weather forecast for the weekend too, so I anticipate lots of time spent in the garden. When I looked outside from the kitchen this morning I knew that today's flowers had to be slightly different but they are still there sat on the table!

I chose the photograph above for this week's 'Found Flowers' as I have a potted hyacinth in the kitchen window but it is very droopy and I keep meaning to cut it and place each stem in a separate pot, after seeing this stunning image this week. If you get a chance nip over to the Flickr stream I have linked to, as the photographer really is amazing.

So what are your plans for the weekend, please do let me know? I hope you are all as fortunate as we are with the weather and have some great days planned. Happy Friday everyone!

  1. Oh what a wonderful weather forecast! Enjoy! We've been having icy cold winds the past few days. I lit a bunch of candles last night in anticipation of another power cut (thank goodness it never happened!)

No big plans this weekend other than passport papers, a bit of school marking, some gardening and a preschool commitment. Otherwise I hope to rest a bit. Last weekend really wore me out!

    xoxo

    PS: Magnificent? Me? Thank you!

  2. If only I had a door that I could open and go out into a garden! Beautiful pictures!
