Two o'clock two

What has happened to May? It is still supposed to be Spring right? Although today is considerably sunnier than yesterday (this is what the beach looked like yesterday below) it is still really cold and blustery. We even had a tile off the roof yesterday it was that windy and we have another ledging in the guttering which is making clearing the other rather precarious!

So let's stay safely indoors and have a look around shall we? Don't forget to link back to Kassi at BacWoodFerns if you join in.

On Saturday I was able to get out in the garden and do some general tidying, the work is never done is it, once the season starts? So whilst I was sorting out and tidying I noticed a few late flowering daffodils that were beginning to get lost in the rapid growing hedge. I cut them to bring in the house but thought it would be nice to add them a bigger selection from the garden and so here is the result. It fits beautifully on our emptier fireplace and brings a little of the season inside.

This month has lots of birthdays for family and friends and I have a big long list (of course!) of cards and presents to buy in preparation. When I saw this birthday card I loved the little print; the daisy meadow, the bunting and the beautifully laid table. Isn't it the sweetest Summer image?

Hope your Tuesday is a little more Spring-like.

  1. What a pretty floral display by the fireplace. Our fireplace area is stacked up with wood and isn't looking at all pretty at the moment. Must remedy that soon...

Still not so springlike here. Well, I suppose that's not true. It's sunny and windy, but it's also freezing cold. The high today is only 9 degrees celsius. It's May 4th, for goodness' sake! Who annoyed the weather gods, I want to know? And what can we do to make it up to them?

I adore that summery card. The bunting and the tea pot & cups are divine! You can save it for my birthday next year if you like ;~)

    Happy Tuesday!

  3. Hi Cassie,

I love that picture of the sky and the sea all stormy looking. Great to look at from out the window, huh? I will be working on your guest post this week and hope to get it to you by Friday. You must be really excited now.
