I have been procrastinating over this 'Tumblr Tuesday' post ever since last week. Firstly, can I say a big thank you to all of you who told me you loved last weeks post and just to say it was you who inspired me to try it with a Linky. (Scary!)
If you want to join in all you have to do is pick your favourite Tumblr pictures each Tuesday and explain why you like them in your post, before nipping back here to link up below. It is entirely up to you how many images you choose to post and whether you want to post on a theme or not. Last week my selection was entirely random but this week I have chosen a theme for my images. I was thinking of trying a colour theme but just couldn't limit my chosen images and I am sure you do not want to see hundreds but I may try this in the future!
Anyway I am really looking forward to seeing where 'Tumblr Tuesday' takes us, if you would be so kind as to mention my blog in your posts then hopefully others will join in and link back too. I would also hope it introduces us all to a few Tumblr blogs we haven't yet stumbled upon ourselves. Please also feel free to take the 'Tumblr Tuesday' picture above if you would like it for your post.
OK hope that explains things clearly enough, so lets get on with my pictures for today! (About time did I hear you say?) One recurring theme in my Tumblr archive is that of the 'Sleeping Nook', originally inspired by You Are My Fave's love of these gorgeous spaces I think.

I love this space as it has that 'shabby chic' style I just adore. I can imagine grabbing a blanket and snuggling down on those cushions with a good book and a cup of tea but falling asleep all too soon because it is so comfy!

This sleeping nook looks so grown up and sophisticated doesn't it? I can imagine it is a super soft mattress that you would just sink deep down into.
(via adorablelife)
Would you ever be able to sleep here with that view? I can imagine this in a little holiday cottage by the sea that is small and cosy and the perfect place to get away from it all.
(via adorablelife)
OK so maybe this isn't a 'nook' officially but it isn't your standard place for a bed surely! This really is a room with a view to die for isn't it? Snuggling under the stars is called for here, with a very large glass of something chilled.
(via adorablelife)
Continuing with the outside theme I think this one is certainly a 'nook', even if it is outside. I love everything about this image; the plants, the hammock, the twinkling fairy lights and the divine blankets and cushions.

Of course if you are a child you can have an even tinier nook to curl up in. My nieces and nephews would love me to have this room in our house for when they come to stay. Oh the fun that would be had in these cubby holes morning, noon and night!

Finally, I think these little spaces can constitute a 'nook' because they are under the eves of the house. Those bottom ones look so comfy; gorgeous soft bedlinen and blankets. I adore the colour scheme here too, as would any child I think. My niece would love to cuddle under the blankets with her all dollies, after drawing those stunning curtains around her bed.
There you have it, week two of 'Tumblr Tuesday'.Which one was your favourite? If you could only have one in your home which would you choose? Pop back to week one here if you want to see last times and I would love to see your favourites too. I look forward to spending the week thinking about the next one, Happy Tuesday everyone!

Loving Tumblr Tuesday. :)
ReplyDeleteThose outdoor sleeping spaces? TO DIE FOR. Especially the one with the killer view. If you went there once, do you think you could ever return to normal life? I couldn't. I'd quit my job and live there forever. :)
Thanks for the peaceful inspiration!
