This Monday I do like to be beside the seaside! My husband had a day off today, so after a mornings work here at home we decided to go out for lunch. Of course we were lured towards our usual haunt - the Suffolk coast! We had a lovely lunch in one of our favourite restaurants in Southwold and spent time wandering around the various shops.
We then made our way to the seafront and walked along the promenade past the lovely coloured beach huts. Today is the coolest it has been in a long while and the sky is decidedly cloudy today but it was still plenty warm enough to enjoy a walk along the beach. At the end of the beach is a gorgeous pier 623 feet long, which has been restored beautifully over recent years. We wandered down and had a look in all the little shops and took these shots of the beach and back towards the town. The pier is made of wooden slats, is rather springy and does have gaps in between, which is rather strange when you can see the waves lapping underneath you. Today we saw this poor little cocker spaniel was being taken along the pier by his lead, but he was absolutely petrified of it and was simply being dragged along by his owner on his belly. Poor dog was really scared, but it did look really rather funny too!
An ice-cream on our walk back towards the town really rounded off a lovely afternoon by the sea. So this first Monday of July I love living so close to the seaside! How about you, what do you love today? As always, link back to the lovely Anna if you join in with 'Much Love Monday'.

Looks and sounds lovely. Can't wait to go!
