This last Monday in July I am loving the fact that I was able to get inside a combine harvester for the very first time at the weekend! As I said on Friday we were looking after Max (bottom right of picture) again this weekend and when we took him for a walk at my in-laws on Saturday the combine was out of the shed and freshly washed ready to kick into action this week. My husband suggested I take the opportunity to jump in and kindly obliged my request for a photo with his phone camera.
It really is high up there and feels rather strange being surrounded by glass right down to your feet. I was amazed by all the gadgets, controls, levers and buttons too. Now all I need is to have a ride in it going along the fields, especially when it is time to turn out the funnel and empty the corn into the trailer as it always looks such fun!

Oh that looks like such fun! (said like the mum of two little boys who LOVE large vehicles!) Hope we can climb aboard too... Just a few weeks now!
