Hello again strangers - long time no see! When I uploaded my blogging break post back in August I really had no intention of being away for this long. I am afraid to say I am not nearly as brave as many of you wonderful bloggers out there and for now I am unable to share with you all the reasons behind my prolonged absence, suffice to say this past summer has not been easy.
May I take this opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to all of you for your lovely, kind and thoughtful messages on either the last two posts in August or via email. They really were wonderful to read during my time away. I also want to use this moment to remind Erin that her continued friendship despite my absence online has been truly amazing - thank you so much dear friend.
However, as Autumn is here in Suffolk in its finest clothing I am feeling the strong pull to return to blogging and I think with the upcoming holiday season I cannot resist being online. My posting may be a little more sporadic than before and I promise I will try to get round all your amazing blogs and comment again very soon. For now I am back and looking forward to sharing the rest of 2010 with you all!

so good to see you here! I've missed you. hope things are ok now.
ReplyDeleteOh my dear girl, it's so good to see you back here! Welcome back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet words. You will always have my friendship, online AND off.
xoxoxo
Cassie! I'm excited you are back! I hope everything is ok love, we were thinking of you whilst you were gone.
ReplyDeleteHello, dear woman! It's so good to see you back in blogland. And, withholding your reasons for absence does NOT make you any less brave, lovely lady! We all withhold little pieces of our hearts, sacred good and bad parts of our lives that are only for us. We each have to respect that...setting those boundaries falls into it's own category of "brave". :)
ReplyDeleteMany well wishes and love. So happy to see you back! :)
Cassie,
ReplyDeleteBe gentle on yourself....sometimes you may feel like sharing your thoughts & words with the world and other times you may like to take time for yourself....either way we are here if you need us. I do hope that you find a renewed strength in your spirit each day....
Warm wishes
xo.

ReplyDeletesweet cassie,
ReplyDeletei am thinking of you and wishing you a kinder autumn/winter. Whatever it is, i hope you found comfort in love, hugs, and friendship. I am always here if you need me! it's SO wonderful to hear you're back <3
thank you for joining in my ornament swap! :) can you believe it's how i met erin? i can't imagine a life without you both!
xoxo
ps. i agree with Bethany on the whole "brave" thing... there are some things that are too private/too fragile to share.
Nice to see you posting again. It's always hard to know what to share and not to share, sometimes even when you do want to try and summarise what's been happening 'behind the scenes' the words just never seem to fit the events, plus the fact that writing about it means you kind of have to relive it all. Sorry you've had a horrible time though, and hope things are a bit easier now. Welcome back to blogland :)
ReplyDelete(and what a lovely photo!)
Hope everything starts looking up for you!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Cassie! So good to hear from you again. I've had a few of those blogging breaks myself since the summer and am still a little sporadic myself, but it is nice to still connect with blogging friends so it is hard to stay away. Hugs to you my dear friend and prayers to you for comfort and love. xoxo

Dearest Cassie - where abouts in Cornwall, North or South?
ReplyDeleteI insist on lunch on the terrace at the St.Mawes Hotel in St.Mawes on the Roseland followed by a trot up to Portscatho to visit the Sea Garden, a favourite shop where the lovely Christine sells an abundance of gorgeousness.Check her opening times ( I will find you a link).
You must go to Fowey, home of Daphne du Maurier, brilliant place.
St.Ives is great on a drizzly day, wonder around the old town visit the galleries, check out the Tate and lunch at Porthmeor cafe, oh my gosh there are so many wonderous places!
The Minnack theatre and the beach at Porthcurno are a must too!
