Plan of action

(via Purchon)

First of all, can I just say a gigantic thank you for all the kind and thoughtful comments on my Monday return post. This blogging world is truly amazing and such sentiments really made me wonder why I had been away so very long.

Well I have chosen quite a busy month to return to the blogging world so please accept my apologies for sporadic posting but it is so great to be back amongst friends. Today I am off to one of the biggest shopping centres in the country to begin the task of Christmas shopping. I am already behind where I was last year at this time so I am itching to get started. I am also looking forward to browsing the shops myself for things to ask Father Christmas for this year! Then at the weekend we have my husband's sister's 40th birthday celebrations with a big meal out on Sunday for all fourteen of the immediate family.

Next week my Mum is coming to stay with us for a week and I have plans to take her to all my favourite haunts and interiors shops; to take in all the magical Christmas displays and little seasonal treats on offer. Of course this will include trips to local coastal towns - where, believe it or not, one Dumbledore himself was spotted on the beach this summer!! I kid you not!

Finally at the end of the month it will be the first birthday of our youngest niece (cannot believe it has been a whole year since this post). Then we are going away for a weeks holiday to North Cornwall. It is somewhere I have always wanted to visit and we are really looking forward to gorgeous days tucked up warm and cosy in coats and scarves and exploring this stunning coastline. A huge thank you to Sarah-Jane for her great ideas already - we are so excited and really looking forward to the break away.

So with Christmas preparations squeezed in where possible I have a busy month ahead. How about you, what does your November hold?

  1. Hello, Cassie! Sounds like you do have a great plan of action! Christmas shopping, hum? I'm not doing it any time soon, but because I'm not in the city this year, I guess I need to start writing down ideas so I'm ready when I go back home, where all the shops are; handmade and online shopping will be included.
I've wanted to visit Cornwall since I first read "The Shell Seekers". I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.
PS. If you're still interested in the little something you won back in July, please let me know.
    Take Care!

  2. Welcome back Cassie!! I'm so glad that you are able to join us. And of course you don't have to share why you were absent. Just hope all is well.

It sounds like a busy month and yay for Christmas shopping! The year really has flown by. And it's not quite our anniversary yet :)

  3. I think it's going to be a busy, fun-filled November for you! Can't wait to hear about Bluewater and all the wonderful purchases you make there (bet you'll have a giant wishlist for Father Christmas at the end of your shopping day!)

Cornwall will be wonderful. I've been to Devon, which is similar (so I've heard) and it was lovely. I'm imagining you bundled up and going for rambles along the coast, and then returning to your cozy warm cottage to drink tea and relax by the fire! Aaaah...

  4. Sounds like you have a busy, but lovely month ahead! I'm going out of town for ten days this month, so things are quite hectic around here as well!
