I love this time of year, Autumn is full of my favourite colours ranging from the rich bronze, brown and burgundy to the more muted delicate sepia tones. This photo, taken from the exceptional Tumblr blog of Justine Taylor, would be the perfect spot to sit with a cup of something warm and watch the beauty of the season all around.
Right now I am fortunate enough to have this stunning view of the gorgeous Autumn colours from my cosy corner of the sofa and as the sun shines through the last yellowing leaves I am reminded why Autumn is truly my absolute season.
How about you, what do you love about this season? Or if you hate it please tell me why, I am intrigued. Before we know it the trees will be bare and Winter will have taken hold so I am enjoying it all while I can.

ReplyDeleteI love autumn leaves and misty mornings and steamy chai tea lattes, pumpkins and Thanksgiving and Halloween. I love switching to cozy cardigans and leggings and scarves. It's a wonderful season. And after it, comes winter and Christmas!!! And you know how I feel about that...

ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favourtie time of the year too! Firstly because it runs up to CHristmas, secondly because of all the gorgeous colours, and thirdly because you have an excuse (even when it's sunny outside) to snuggle up indoors, rather than in the summer when you feel guilty if you miss one second of rare British sunshine! Only thing is this year, me and my new hubby have moved into an old house and as we're both students we can't afford to have the heating on much leading to a pretty large resentment of cold, crisp autumn days I normally love!

I have to agree that Autumn does have beautiful colours - I love the view you have. The yellow in the hedge is lovely. Spring is finally here in Australia and I have to admit all the green and the beautiful flowers are quite spectacular too.

Autumn is my favorite time. :) The crunchy leaves, the festive spirits...it's all so excellent. Time to haul out cute coats, mittens, sweaters. Unfortunately after the leaves fall off the trees, it's rather brown and dead looking in midwestern America.

I love driving to football games and leaving the coastal town and hitting the vibrant colors of the hills with leaves changing and I love bundling up in a jacket and scarf for the first time each year. Lovely post!
