This week's photo prompt was 'your favourite image of 2010' and I instantly knew I had to choose one from a very limited collection taken in August.
For it was in August that I got to meet my wonderful friend Erin for the very first time. Sadly it didn't happen as we originally intended but we still got to spend a few short hours with her and her gorgeous family whilst they were here in England.
Erin wrote a beautiful post for me yesterday about my birthday and I already had this post prepared so I smiled when I read hers, as I knew she would smile when she saw this today. Erin and I met via the blogging world at the end of 2009 and she has been a tremendous friend throughout 2010 and continues to be so. So much so that it feels strange if we don't talk each day online. She said the other day that she knows we will still be talking to each other in thirty years time and I wholeheartedly agree.
I will always remember 2010 as the year that Erin and I became firm friends so therefore I have to choose this fun photo of her and her little one Sawyer as my favourite of 2010.

Of all the photos you could have chosen from this year, you chose one of me? How lovely. Now it's my turn to cry!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad we got to spend that time together in August. I wish the two hours could have been two whole weeks, but you take what you can get, right? It was fabulous to get to see you and give you a hug and gab away over lunch, and I am so happy we made the journey to Ipswich to do it. Next time, we'll have longer. And until then, we've got skype and email and letters... and I'm so thankful for that!
lots of love from me and all my boys xoxo
Well firstly Happy Birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteSecondly Happy New Year and finally RAAARGHHHH!
Consider yourself a member of my pride of lions this year!!!
Now here's a weird one.... I was tearing out all my favourite things from my Christmas magazines to stash for future inspiration when I spotted on the editorial page of Elle Deco. a snap of "Cas Chapman" and she reminded me so much of you! She writes about food and interiors.......and travel, sounds familiar!
Anyway, I realised it wasn't you as she is a Pisces and you must be Capricorn or Aquarius? But for one brief moment I had elevated to you the lofty heights of features writer which of course you are anyway right here!!!
Happy Days,
Sarah x
That is such an amazing story and the photo is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI am constantly in awe of how the internet has allowed me to 'meet' people that otherwise my life would never have touched.
Thanks for joining Kristi and me on this journey.
