12 on the 12th

Why oh why do I never seem to be doing anything on the 12th of each month! Although when you having nothing in particular planned it does make you look more carefully for photo opportunities.

I finally got around to downloading the official template too so I can explain each picture a little easier.

Top row:

1) OK so I did cheat a little and this robin photo and the one on the second row were sent to me yesterday by my Uncle and are his photos of my Auntie's hand with one very tame robin on it.

2) I am very impressed with my local Tesco's flower selection again recently, they had beautiful seasonal bunches including ones with these gorgeous anemones this week.

3) It wouldn't be a 12 on the 12th from me without my own garden birds pictures would it!

4) I love magazines at this time of year; they are full of gorgeous warm and cosy pictures and the perfect accompaniment to a morning cup of coffee.

Middle row:

5) My kitchen full of flowers is a sure fire sign of my desperation for Spring!

6) See number one above

7) My present of Spring flowering bulbs from my birthday last week.

8) At the end of these horrid grey days we have been having some gorgeous sunsets, which bring beautiful shafts of light into the house.

Bottom row:

9) This is our daily reminder that it is indeed very much still Winter!

10) The anemones I mentioned before came in this dinky little bouquet with some pure white tulips.

11) 12th January's meal was a 'throw together meal' with bits I needed to use up. So this was our spicy lamb meatballs with cous cous.

12) Finally I have made this little purchase with some of my Christmas money - I know that I will be able to use this little glass bell jar throughout the year for one thing or another I'm sure.

  2. I love all your pictures. You're making me feel like I need to go buy some flowers to brighten our place up a little. And, being an apartment-dweller, I'm jealous of your fireplace.
