Tumblr Tuesday

On Saturday morning (late Friday night for her) I was talking to Erin about our Saturday Morning Daydream posts and although I already knew I wanted to use the three bed photograph I told her that I was longing for some cold weather again. She chose a gorgeous summery image (pop over and have a look here) but I was dreaming of snow, frost and ice due to the endless days of rain and grey we have been having here on the east coast of England recently. Therefore, Tumblr Tuesday seemed like the perfect opportunity to indulge in a spot daydreaming today via some wonderful photographs from my Tumblr archives.

Before Christmas the snow and the incredibly low temperatures brought with them white trees like these above and the countryside look so pretty. I wouldn't like to have to drive along this road but can just imagine walking in the thick crunchy snow.

I spotted things during our last cold snap which would otherwise have gone un-noticed such as bright red berries in hedgerows and holly branches standing proud.

What is the weather like where you are this Tuesday afternoon, are you knee deep in snow or enjoying some warming sunshine? Here it is another wet, grey day so I need to keep dreaming. Finally however, I also feel that I simply cannot write a weather related post today without sending my thoughts to those currently affected by the floods in Queensland.
