I am dreaming of fields covered in snow once again.

I am longing for thick ice like we had here on Christmas Day when no matter how many of us jumped on some puddles it just would not break.

Before Christmas the snow and the incredibly low temperatures brought with them white trees like these above and the countryside look so pretty. I wouldn't like to have to drive along this road but can just imagine walking in the thick crunchy snow.

I can also imagine how quiet and peaceful it would be to stand in this photograph, the noises of the world silenced by its huge blanket of snow.

I love it when the sun comes out over fresh fallen snow and the world sparkles and shines.

There is nothing like the snow to bring out pops of colour, like the ones highlighted in this incredible image.

I spotted things during our last cold snap which would otherwise have gone un-noticed such as bright red berries in hedgerows and holly branches standing proud.

Finally there is nothing like a snowfall to bring a 'picture postcard' view to your world.
Thank you for indulging in my dreams if you have reached the end of this post! I hope I have not made you feel too chilly. What is the weather like where you are this Tuesday afternoon, are you knee deep in snow or enjoying some warming sunshine? Here it is another wet, grey day so I need to keep dreaming. Finally however, I also feel that I simply cannot write a weather related post today without sending my thoughts to those currently affected by the floods in Queensland.

we have snow! 2 days straight mind you. Hasn't happened since 93.
